his eyes are always open. Not literally, of course, but he's constantly looking for new things to amuse himself with. It's not uncommon for him to actually sit and watch the grass grow. Everything fascinates him.

He would say that the last second WAS the best time of his life, and this very second IS the best time of his life and that the next second WILL BE the best time of his life. He's a very "live in the moment" kinda guy.
